What was required?

Services that would enable the Local Authority to:

  1. Maximise the skills and talents of aspiring Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic, [BME] middle and senior school leaders and social workers
  2. Strengthen the support given to BME leaders who were either new in senior leadership posts or aspiring to senior leadership positions
  3. Identify best race equality and employment practice

How Integrity Coaching Helped

Integrity Coaching provided three key services to enable the Local Authority to move forward in the areas that it had identified

  • Learning for Leadership Transformation: A four day ILM accredited development programme for aspiring BME teachers and social workers who want to move forward in their careers , this programme has so far been successfully delivered to two mixed groups of BME aspiring social workers and teachers
  • Fulfilling Your Vision: We provided 1:1 Coaching for newly appointed BME senior leaders working  across Children and Young People’s Services to enable them to successfully adjust to the demands of their new positions
  • Coaching for All: We trained non-BME senior leaders e.g. Assistant Directors,  on issues relating to coaching and the BME context, so that they in turn could provide better support for their BME employees
