Inspiring Anti-Racist Leadership Programme

A programme designed to support and inspire school leaders as they look to embed change and maintain their momentum towards becoming truly anti-racist schools

If you want to explore how our Inspiring Anti-Racist Leadership Programme could support your school’s journey towards becoming truly anti-racist, click the link above to register your interest.

This enhanced leadership development programme is for leaders who have completed our Race, Identity and School Leadership (RISL) programme.

It is designed to help school leaders who want to consolidate their practice, further their learning and maintain their momentum towards creating truly anti-racist schools.

Depending on where you are on this journey towards greater race awareness, you may be at the point where you have established new policies, implemented accompanying practices and made changes to the curriculum.

Along the way,  it is likely that you will have come to realise that racism continually changes its shape and form and the way in which it manifests in our lives. You may have also come to realise, that this is a learning journey that has no real end and there may be times when:

– New and unexpected challenges, incidents and issues arise, leaving you feeling as though progress has been undone and that you are right back where we started

– Newfound confidence drops and feelings of self-doubt begin to set in

– Progress feels like it has slowed or other priorities have taken over, leading to feelings of guilt or anxiety

– You encounter resistance to change from others who are not as yet racially literate, resulting in feelings of isolation and frustration

We understand this and know that combatting racism is on-going work and that is work that benefits from; supportive relationships, inspiration from others and a continued commitment to one’s own personal development.

It is for these reasons we have developed our new “Inspiring Anti-Racist Leadership Programme”…
